Culture plays a tremendous role in the way we communicate, it is said that Trinidadians are very happy, free, friendly people, we love to laugh lime eat and of cause talk.
As" Trini's" we speak with a sort of rhythm which is referred to as a sing song way of talking, people from other countries think that we speak to fast and at times can not understand what we are saying.
We use kinetic's and haptics a lot , there are times that our actions can be misinterpreted ,once the other party is not familiar with our culture.
we love to express ourselves , we are passionate and in doing so we use a lot of body language and touching which at times may not settle very well with others. All in all once the other party becomes familiar with both us and our culture they understand, and as the saying goes"you can spot a Trini anywhere".
